Day 13978 to Day 14039

To begin with I crossed the 14000 days of a wonderful life! Isn’t that a good enough reason for me to be allowed a longer-than-usual sabbatical from blogging?

So let’s continue the “bulleted reporting” of my life and thoughts since then

• IPL 6 eventually had Chennai vs. Mumbai and guess what Mumbai won the trophy (Anyone surprised??)
• Cannon 600D found its way to my home/cupboard on Fathers Day.
• Guess what, I banged my new car Ertiga’s door to a curb. Costed me 1200 INR and 15K INR to the insurance company to replace the door!
• My organization had its 9^th Town hall a week back. This time it was out and out “audience” role I played
• Finished reading a book – “Asura” (autobiography of Raavan) and amidst an equally interesting one - “Oath of Vayuputra”!
• Started a new screenplay/short story titled “Abduction” – Rashoman style of events of the day of kidnapping of Sita from 4 angles – Ram, Raavan, Sita and Lakshman
• Joined PMI’s Campus Ambassador Program as a volunteer. Slow pace of start but hopefully will keep me engaged and excited because somewhere I believe in its cause
• Talking of “cause” and ones I believe in – Education is one of them. Towards that - am super-excited as I am about to start a volunteer work of “upgrading the communication skills” of high school students in my wife’s school. One hour each Saturday for  40 so-weeks to get the “English-knowing-urban-students” in par with “English-speaking-urban-students” for a competition of the “equals” in the future!

 

And something that I promised in my last blog is still pending – What if my kids were also blogging. So you will see two additional sections on how my 7 year old and 4 year old would have blogged starting from my next one!!

Day 13951 to Day 13977

So here we go with the happenings of the life…

 

·         IPL Season 6 nearing its end. Chennai Super King vs [Mumbai Indian or Rajasthan Royals] on Sunday

·         Sorry for Sreesanth and other cricketers who have caught themselves up in a case of breach of trust – also called SpotFixing

·         Sunday incidentally is also the day when my elder princess starts her 8^th year of life. Small celebration@McDonalds planned for the evening

·         Had a Fanta-fabulous vacation in the Northern East corners of India – Shillong/ Guwahati. 7 days of bliss and peace amongst the land of clouds

·         Return from Guwahati also had me and my family undertake the longest voyage by railroad. 58 hours of travel from North East India to South via the Eastern coast

·         Shortly post the return also had us host a gathering of relatives from Pondicherry and Mumbai. Had a ball of a time hosting the “National Karaoke Conference” at our residence

·         “Seed” of buying a Cannon EOS 600D has emerged from nowhere in my head….It will be time before it finds a place in my cupboard waiting to be “abused”

·         Work @ Peace . Few good innovative ideas of last year is seeing some tractions

·         A brilliant idea emerges in my head – Will be interweaving the posts of this blog alternatively with posts about what my children could be blogging if they were…Realized that as they grow up (which they do at really fast pace), memory will start to fail if they were to ask me “How was I thinking Dad when I was ……”. Best to engrave them in the stones of these blogs

Day 13915 to Day 13950

Wow! Approaching 14kth day of this wonderful life in just 50 days!! That blog will need to be special!

 

For now this is what transpired in last 35 days

·         On the brink of a vacation of 10 days to Shillong. The fun starts in two days. No emails. No phone, just blissful enjoyment of every moments

·         Experimented once again on my singing skill. “Mana Ho tum” in a month end event of my organization. Output – Okay Okay Komsi Komsa

·         Finished “Secrets of Naga”. Awaiting “Oaths of Vayuputra”

·         Have packed plenty of books and movies for the 48 hours train journey that I will have on my way back from Shillong. Managing Kids for that duration will be a good challenge

·         A national all relative gathering expected at my home between May 10^th and 17^th!! House is on the rocks!!

·         Want to experiment with my Violin but its sitting as just a “Want” for a while

·         Continuing the trough and the valley of my creative self. Am totally in a “low” as far as my exploring my creativity is concerned

Day 13905 to Day 13914

Life is heading as follows

·         Ertiga completed 1600 km, thanks to a trip to Yercaud with my team. So that also means that 1^st servicing was done and now the car sits parked in my home while I commute in bus

·         Before that, had a good trip to Pondi, sang my Karaoke (I think it was okay), came back with a headphone/mike and training on mixing tracks for “real” audio effects

·         Singing fever is on these days. FB is full of uploads from me and my kins – their karaoke versions

·         Started reading “Secrets of Nagas”. Half way through

·         Upcoming vacation in North-East frontiers of India – Meghalaya/Shillong between April 28^th and May 5^th. Looking forward for that

·         Saw some movies that have been pending for a while like Special 26, Inkaar. Life of Pi is sitting in my Kindle waiting to be watched

“Really”,” Really” and I really mean “Really” . I am really short of ideas.I guess I am at my creative trough/valley. So will sign off

Day 13865 to Day 13904

All right. Here we go with the updates from the Life Desk of me

 

·         New car – the Seven-Seater Ertiga completed 600 Km of road this morning. Can’t wait for it to complete the 1000 so I can move back to Buses as my mode of commute

·         Upcoming trip to Pudhucherry for 60^th birthday of my uncle (Wow! That’s 21900 days of life!!) this weekend. Prepping up for Karaoke Night on Saturday

·         Lot of to-be-watched movies piling up. Will need to go on a sabbatical to complete them

·         I get one year closer to my retirement (whenever that is) while my younger daughter gets one year closer to start her work life!

·         Started a new Blog in which I plan to write about Cinemas

·         Budget 2013 round the corner. Hope that GOD and GIVT permit us to  keep more money than they allow us currently to

·         Gave a public speech at PM Footprint session held recently. I guess was well received

·         More later

38 years, 13894 days completed in this planet and this life... Guess I am one more year closer to my retirement - whenever it is destined for!!

Day 13761 to Day 13864

Lets see what we got here. Obviously will cut the un-wanted flesh of saying "Its been a Long time", "It was a big break" etc and straight get to the heart of the matter.

• iRevolt is getting built - slowly and steadily...
• Sold my old car and booked a new one (Ertiga). Dont know but I do seem to have some cosmic connections with Maruti Udyog Ltd.. I guess no matter what I research, I land up with a car of theirs!
• New Ertiga expected hopefully for my upcoming wedding anniversary
• Grand-Pa and Ma are stationed in our house. So we have some assorted collection of Generations from 3 year old to 90- all trying to make sense of this life in their own way
• Strange, It takes so much intertia-fight to start penning a blog, but once I start it starts flowing
• A phone lost my fairer-half ! Once again a cosmic malfunctioning between her birth sign and any phone. Phone keeps loosing her every now and then!!
• 2012 Dec crossed succesfully....Awaiting the 2nd Edition of Mayan calendar
