Day 13710 to Day 13760

Okay - I finally managed to break the 26-27-rule and this time around my post will be in a different date of the month!

So heres my life commentary

• Have been reading the book "Immortals of Meluha" and like it a lot...Almost addicted to reading it everyday.
• I finally decided to plunge into Kindle fever. Have asked a collegue to get me a Kindle Fire from Pardes where its apparantly cheaper!
• Saw a few movies - Barfi, 3 (Tamil), Heroine.......
• Want to see a few - Eega(Telugu),Sunderpandiyan (Tamil), Oh My God(Hindi)
• Got picked up as member of Jury for a Testing Conference...There goes my coming Saturday
• Going through a course on "Model Thinking" from University of Michigan - Online course https://www.coursera.org/ ...Really like the course!
• Navaratri going on...So have "Golu" organized at my home - ofcourse they are being managed by ladies of my house!
• Have been able to start and work on my new script - iRevolt... Plan to get the full movie out by Feb 2013
• Life is lazily floating around....but hey no complaints!! Why force the life to go through rapids when it doesnt want to!
• Some Mr Kejriwal is rocking the nation and its politician with his anti-corruption movement....I wish him all success and I hope he is able to acheive what he has started with

Day 10639 - Yes its out of sequence I know

Heres something from my past (not so much far but just nearby). And Yes I know its out of sequence if someones reading this chronologically but then who says life has to be chronologically arranged!!!

Redirecting to another blog I owned...I somehow lost my login credential so its existing as an orphan in this digital jungle!! Thought of redirecting the internet traffic to that site just so it feels good (maybe blogs have feelings too)

Day 13678 to Day 13709

Somethings with this 26-28 number...Thats exactly the date each month that I suddenly wake from my slumber and feel like blogging....Its really coincidental and I had no clue that I will wake up today and blog!!

Anyway life is running as follows

• Film Making course completed. Had convocation last to last sunday
• My first short film (as actor) is live now. It is quite pathetic by any standard and hence will remain a un-treasured secret all my life
• Passport renewal due for my elder angel...Need to fix an appoinment
• Last week (Thursday), it rained cats and dogs in Bangalore near my workplace. Costed me 3 vodkas, 4+ hours and 600 bucks to get home
• Indulged in an impulsive buying few weeks back. Bought a car (Tata Nano) for my wife just like that while waiting outside Big Bazaar for my my spouse to finish groceries. Cant make out if she was surprised or gave up hope on me from the look she had when I told about it
• Yoga saga continues
• Joined Veda classes. Weekend late getting up gone for a toss
• Olympics got over.....I didnt watch any of it
• Onam round the corner. Wifey and kids are performing something. I will clap for them
• Searching for a good theme for my own first short film....It has to be comical for my debut

Thats it....

Life is a gift my friends....Enjoy the "present"....

Day 13647 to Day 13677

Highlights of my life between days #13647 and #13677 as below

• Father in Law finished his innings and departed last Friday. He was a successful and fortunate man. May his soul rest in peace
• Wife and younger one in Mumbai for post-funeral procedures. Return Next Friday
• Finally, Finally finished writing my first screenplay titled "Colors of Life". Will shoot in Black and White when I film it!!
• Me and my elder (Akshaya) are here in Bangalore bonding with each other like never before.
• Last week, learnt how to return back from work and check school diarie notes, teach a child, run around the house searching for shoe boxes and chart papers trying to complete a last minute project for a kid that I conveniently missed reading in the diary
• Olympics 2012 have started in London
• India gets its 13th President
• Dollar to Rupee at 55.x range
• Filed Tax returns
• Replaced all 4 tyres of my 90K+ km driven car.
• Wallet became "lighter" and continues to get "lighten" each day
• "Cocktail" and "Dark Knight Returns" released last week...."Gangs of Waseypur" the week before
• I spend more time than before imagining my own virtual world of films/characters
• Townhall at Work went superb...Gave a good Violin performance which I assume and would like to assume was liked by everyone
• Mama from Dubai was here last month. Took him to Nandi hills and Tendi Street

Day 13641 to Day 13647

Some highlights of my life between days #13641 and #13647 as below

• Mom and Dad bday today (June 27th)..Planning a get-together with cousins and their spouses and a KARAOKE mike (the latest electrmagnetic acquisition in my house)
• Film Making course going in full swing. Have homework backlog piled up for weeks now. Have been vacilating over a script that I need to write for unexcusable number of days
• Upcoming Townhall meet at work next week. Some amount of energy and time diverted for the same
• Yoga classes (I managed NOT to miss any class last week). As I speak/blog, I am already planning to miss todays session
• I hope Yashodhara Lal doesnt mind me copying her style of writing blogs bcoz my accidental visit (to her blog) gave me this idea of what and how to blog
• I have started hating it when organizations ask back for money they lent me abd that too "rather eagerly" ( I mean Credit Card Companies). Some over-indulgence in luxuries of life on my part has pushed the due up a bit. :-(
• Niece from Mumbai in town....Took her out on Namma Bengaluru metro ride to MG rd last Saturday

Isnt this enough of an update for someone who has trouble blogging!!

Day 13641 - Creativity at peak!

Was glancing the IIM Alumni magazine and came across Yoshodhara Lal's write up on a book....which in turn took me to her blog....Pretty nice.... Kind of inspired me to get back to blogging.

So friends thats what I intend to now....

Still waiting for "something" that cna help kick start my screenplay/script that I have been struggling to even start....

Day 13607 - IPL Season 5 and more

IPL season 5 seems to enter the exciting zone… More than 4 teams competing for the 4th slot to make it to semis and the final. Yesterday RCB (Bangalore) blew away DDD (Delhi Daredevils).

Sometimes I wonder where does my loyalty really reside. Delhi is where I grew up and Bangalore is what is nearest to a home for me in my some-13th thousands-days of this life!! Pune (BTW: Their team is called Pune Warriors) is what gave me the education while Mumbai (Indians) is what gave me the first job break. Chennai is the home land of my mother tongue while Kerala (If their team existed today) is what is my root!!
So friends, it’s too tough to side anyone or to look at it brightly – I can side anyone!!

As for my nation – Interesting times I say!! Government spends more time in debating if “cartoons” should be part of NCERT curriculum than the rising Rupee to Dollar rates…Sensex falls below 16K while media is bothered about SRK’s verbal-rebuttals with stadium staff. Sportsmen seem to be in controversy ranging from Match fixing to molestation!!

Kids are having fun at home since its summer vacation. My better half would be starting school soon. She mentioned about a kids in our neighborhood (actually the kid of one of the maid helpers) who needs counseling. He seems to be 11 year old but never studied. So to put him in school “laterally”, we got to put an outside effort to educate him so there are less of the personality issues if and when he was to join the school. She will most likely work on that front. For my part, my elder (adopted) child cleared grade X with 80%. I guess not too good but neither too bad. Considering his living conditions, I think it’s good. I have to work on his career/academic plans for next few years. Well the whole story for a different blog.

For now, Life is beautiful as ever!! All you folks reading this have the greatest time ahead!

May of 2012

Life is as beautiful as it can get.  Its May of 2012 and I sit before my computer trying to blog something….I don’t have any topic to write but then a feeling of guilt haunts me, because I thought I liked blogging and that’s exactly what I haven’t been doing for a while.

Well anyway, in the absence of anything meaningful to write, let me say that life is great and has been treating me well. I enjoy each day these days so no complaints.

Kids at home are having a bash coz its holiday for them. Weather in Bangalore (where I reside) is slightly hot but not all that bad.

 

So my reader, that’s all I can blog without making a fool of me and all my past blogs!!
